The A-3320 features a Rigid Plastic Frame.1 Unlike the softer A-1122 (PU version), this plastic-framed design provides superior structural integrity. The rigid frame prevents the filter element from bowing or deforming under high intake vacuum, ensuring the seal remains 100% airtight against the airbox housing. This is vital for older diesel engines and high-mileage petrol units to prevent “dirty air bypass,” which can cause premature engine wear.
